(EMS-C) Program Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for an EMS for Children (EMS-C) Program Manager. This coordinates all activities and reports under the Federal (HRSA) EMS for Children State Partnership Grant. This full-time position pays $32.57/hr, and is located in Providence, RI,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with the EMS education Coordinator and pediatric subject matter experts to improve pediatric patient care within Rhode Island pre-hospital EMS agencies and hospital emergency departments.
- Ensure that EMSC performance measure program activities are on track and that implementation targets are met.
- Assist the Project Director with preparing grant applications and completing required reporting for the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) EMS for Children State Partnership Grant.
- Participate in pediatric-related committees and working groups supporting EMSC grant requirements and performance measures.
- Hold an active role in and attend all EMSC Advisory Board meetings.
- Serve as a liaison between the RI Department of Health (RIDOH) Center for EMS (CEMS), RI EMS agencies, and RI hospital emergency departments that participate in the activities of the EMSC program.
- Under the direction of the CEMS Chief and Deputy Chief, assist in preparing and planning prehospital care components of the state’s disaster plan, mass casualty contingency plans, and pre-hospital care protocols related to pediatric care. Assist in exercises to evaluate such plans.
- Attend training courses and conferences with topics that include pediatrics and

- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a team and independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and be flexible.
- Highly motivated.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Master’s level education in public health or public policy.
- Current RI Licensure as an EMT, AEMT, AEMT-Cardiac, Paramedic; and/or RN, PA, DO or MD.
- Prior experience working in emergency care, pediatric care, public health, or public policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Working hours M-F, 8:00am-4:00pm.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- 5% minimal travel as needed.
