POSITION SUMMARY:


 


We are currently recruiting a Bilingual Offices Services Clerk. This full-time position pays $20.00 an hour and is in Rockville, MD. Onsite, Monday through Friday, standard business hours.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide phone and visitor reception for a dental clinic; Register, schedule and confirm patient appointments; Greet patients and assist with insurance issues/inquiries; queries callers to ascertain nature of calls and refers to appropriate staff or responds to callers' needs on own; maintains dental clinic calendars
• Maintain electronic dental records and prepares reports on such records
• Receive and process information on the dental clinic from various sources and compile such data for financial, statistical, operational, and other reports.
• Produce typed or word-processed documents from rough draft, verbal instructions or taped material, utilizing extended features of word processing software needed for documents.
• Maintain files including following established retrieval control, expansion, retention, and archival procedures.
• Develop and/or modify forms, methods and procedures for more efficient processing of recurring office tasks; maintains office supplies and recommends on use and procurement of office supplies and equipment; and requests maintenance and phone services.
• Prepare individual care plans, incorporating input from the client and service providers for restoration room participants.
• Process administrative transactions including fee collections.
• Produce typed or word-processed documents from rough draft, verbal instructions or taped material, utilizing extended features of word processing software needed for documents.
• Maintains office supplies and recommends on use and procurement of office supplies and equipment; and requests maintenance and phone services
• Process administrative transactions including fee collections.
• Collect charges from self-pay patients upon completion of visit, Ability to process office forms, payments, perform arithmetic computations accurately and quickly
• Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines and/or demands.
• Ability to operate electronic health records software or to acquire such knowledge rapidly
• Attend training and administrative meetings


Required Qualifications :
Required Skills/Abilities:



• Strong customer service and clerical skills with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to apply fundamentals of business:
o English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, arithmetic and standard office practices and procedures
o Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Basic skill in operating word processing, microcomputer, and other office automation equipment and applicable software applications.
• Prior experience working front desk in a dental setting.


 


Education and Experience:


• Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.

Physical Requirements:




• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours will be required.
• Travel will be required.
