POSITION SUMMARY:


 


We are currently recruiting a Bilingual Program Admin III. This full-time, hybrid position pays $28 an hour and is in Rockville, MD.


 


We are looking for a candidate fluent in reading, writing, and/or speaking any of these languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, Burmese, Japanese, Khmer, Nepali, Sinhala, Thai, or Indonesian.


 


 


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assesses behavioral and mental health needs, and behavioral health service utilization in the Asian American community

  • Creates innovative and creative culturally and linguistically competent materials, programs, and workshops to educate the Asian American community

  • Works with partners to develop community education initiatives and support groups around behavioral and mental health

  • Liaises and collaborates with community partners for programs and events, including weekends and evenings

  • Educate and provide technical assistance to community members, organizations, and stakeholders on behavioral and mental health and resources

  • Researches, organizes, and maintains a database of behavioral and mental health services and providers

  • Participates in departmentwide initiatives and projects, community workgroups, and professional meetings as assigned

  • Assists individual community members with accessing services as needed

  • Additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :

Required Skills/Abilities:


 



  • Program Management and Evaluation

  • Office 365 Proficiency.

  • Cultural humility.

  • Ability to lead support groups of multiple different sizes.

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and/or speaking any of these languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, Burmese, Japanese, Khmer, Nepali, Sinhala, Thai, or Indonesian Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


·       Ability to work independently; must be self-motivated.


·       Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.


·       Ability to understand and adhere to the duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.


Education and Experience:


 



  • High School diploma, required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, required.

  • 4+ years of experience in program planning, evaluation, administration, and management, required

  • 2+ years of experience in working in the mental health field

  • LMSW/ LCSW/LCPC/LPC experience encouraged, but not required


 


Physical Requirements:


 


·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


·       Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours may be required as needed.


·       Travel will be required.
