POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.  This full- time position pays $16.63/hr, and is located in Pikesville, MD. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform general custodial maintenance duties, and will receive general lead from the Maintenance Mechanic Senior and is supervised by the Maintenance Chief.

    •  Removes dirt, rubbish, leaves and other refuse from grounds
    
    
    
    
  
  
  
  

• Mopping floors; Sweeping floors and stairwells, vacuuming where needed

• Emptying site trash cans

• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms

• Cleaning and sanitizing offices

• Cleaning and sanitizing commercial building common areas

• Moving materials and goods as requested

• May be required to clean and do simple maintenance indoors.

• May load and unload supplies and equipment from trucks, move furniture and equipment and set up chairs and tables for meetings and special events.

• Removes snow and ice from driveways, walkways and other outdoor areas

• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to learn the methods and procedures used in the receipt, storage and issuance of stockroom supplies, materials and equipment


• Ability to process mail using parcel distribution procedures and routes


• Ability to move and stack heavy and bulky objects


• Ability to multitask and be flexible


• Ability to follow instructions


• Highly motivated

Education and Experience:

·       High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

·       Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·       Working hours M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm

·       Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
