POSITION SUMMARY:


 


We are currently recruiting for a Grants Project SpecialistThis is responsible for oversight and contract compliance to state and federal regulations and standards associated with State Opioid Response (SOR) grant. This full-time $­­­­38.59/hr, and is located in Cranston, RI.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This reports to the Administrator Jaime Bernard and Linda Mahoney.

  • Coordinate processes and internal resources across multiple departments to ensure that SOR requirements are implemented, and outcomes met. 

  • Participates in providing collaboration and attending meetings with all those associated with implementation and on-going monitoring of SOR.

  • Ensure that BHDDH leadership obtains the information necessary to support the organization’s goals throughout implementation and monitoring of SOR grant.

  • Evaluate contract effectiveness; identify successful and unsuccessful relationships and engage in proactive problem-solving to reduce barriers impacting the successful outcomes in coordination with organizational leaders.

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications :

Required Skills/Abilities:




  • Knowledge of behavioral health services and resources on a local, state and national level.

  • Ability to guide the organization in meeting and exceeding standards.

  • Ability to work well independently as well as a team

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships

  • Ability to assess and interpret data to monitor compliance and identify issues

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage tasks efficiently and ensure accuracy in all aspects of work

  • Ability to multitask and be flexible

  • Highly motivated



Education and Experience:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree related to behavioral or public health with 5 years of experience.

  • Or some college with 5 years of experience working in RI with state agencies and behavioral health agencies



Physical Requirements:




  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Working hours M-F, 8:00am-4:00pm

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
