POSITION SUMMARY:


 


We are currently recruiting a Human Services Specialist IV. This full-time position pays $25.00 per hour working in Rockville Maryland.


 


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from CYF program areas, information systems and other sources to identify opportunities for enhanced productivity and efficiency in discrete and cross functional


·       management programs and operations.


·       Participates in or designs data analytics projects using qualitative and quantitative investigative techniques, fact finding methods such as interviews, performance evaluations, statistical analysis, surveys, site visits and observations.


·       Conducts complex studies and analyses of datasets to uncover performance trends using a wide variety of tools and systems including business intelligence software, customer relationship management software, geospatial mapping


·       software, open data platforms, statistical analysis applications, data integration and manipulation tools and techniques.


·       Synthesizes and communicates complex ideas and information to CYF management, other service area program managers and program stakeholders by develQping user friendly presentations, dashboards, applications, online


·       performance metrics and reports:


·       Advises the service area on organizational and operational performance trends, challenges, and issues during regularly scheduled meetings.


·       'Helps to develop data presentations for diverse audience diverse audiences.


·       Provides technical advice and guidance to service area in the analysis and interpretation of program, operations, and service area data.


·       Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :

Required Skills/Abilities:


 


·       Knowledge of the technology, methods and tools used in data gathering, data analysis and interpretation.


·       Ability to use automated systems, technology, and software as tools for analyzing data and information.


·       1-2 years of working with human services data or comparable field.


·       Familiar and proficient in MS Office- Excel, Access, Word, etc. and basic knowledge and skills in working with data


·       Team worker, works well in collaborative environments


·       Willing to learn new skills and computer systems


·       Flexibility and adaptability,


·       Ability to work independently.


·       Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism


·       Professional, positive attitude and work ethic


·       Excellent written and communication skills


·       Solid ability to analyze situations carefully and adopt appropriate courses of action.


·       Ability to understand and adhere to the duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.


Education and Experience:


 


·       Bachelor's degree, required.


·       1-2 years of working with human services data or comparable field.  


Physical Requirements:


 


·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


·       Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times. 


·       Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours may be required. 


·       Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
