POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently recruiting for a Human Services Specialist V and related duties as assigned. This full-time position pays $29.00 per hour and is located in Rockville, Maryland.  Multi-Language (Spanish, Amharic, Chinese) Applicants Strongly Encouraged to Apply

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate daily classroom activities for children birth to age five

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for children in alignment with Maryland Model strategies based in the Pyramid Model for Social Competence in infants and young children

• Utilize a coaching approach to support family's interactions with their children, Communicate clear

• Work cooperatively with all parents, and MCITP providers and staff, accepting them as vital partners

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Child Development, or a related field.

• More than 3 years’ work experience with children can count towards 'credit' for Bachelor's Degree

Ability to lift 30 lbs

Physical Requirements:

·         Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·         Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds at times. 

·         Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours may be required. 

·         Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

·         Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours may be required.
