POSITION SUMMARY:


We are currently recruiting a Logistics Coordinator. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting a digitalization project aimed at converting physical health records into digital formats. The coordinator will ensure smooth operations by overseeing site logistics at the Chantily Xerox location, facilitating the secure handling of sensitive data on secure Hard Drives and importing the data onto VDH Sites. This is a dynamic role involving collaboration with both the vendor Xerox and the RM team. This FULL-TIME position starts at $26 per hour and is located in Chantilly, VA.




 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.



  • Manage and organize the logistics for transferring of digitization records from the secured Hard drives into data files to be uploaded to the VDH secure site. Manage the coordination of ensuring Xerox always has enough HDD for the customer scanning.

  • Oversee and coordinate the physical disposal of scanned documents between the Xerox and the Shredding Vendor (Iron Mountain)

  • Coordinate the secure transportation and storage of physical records between sites and digitalization teams.

  • Ensure the proper tracking and handling of confidential health records in line with privacy regulations.

  • Manage inventory of records awaiting destruction ensuring that they are properly categorized and tracked.

  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems

  • Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as assigned.

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures, to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

  • Efficiently performs duties as assigned and works as a team within division and company.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:


 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times. 

  • Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
