Medical Records Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a Medical Records Clerk. This is to assist in filing of medical records for patients. This part-time position pays $25.76/hr, and is located in Cranston, RI.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Filing patient chart information
- Closing paper charts upon patient discharge
- Organizing charts systematically to enhance accessibility and retrieval efficiency
- Compiling and copying patient records upon request
- Filling DDS requests
- Completing criminal background checks to maintain compliance and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have experience working with paper medical charts
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to understand and adhere to the duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to effectively communicate to large and small group audiences.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to multitask and be flexible
- Highly motivated
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Records Clerk or paraprofessional position, or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Working hours M-F, 8:00am-4:00pm
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
