POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently recruiting for a Public Health Intern. This position will support the Center for Preventative Service’s Asthma Control Program. This part-time position pays $­­­­14.01/hr, and is located in Providence, RI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in various areas of policy and planning, special projects, studies, research, data collection, entry and analysis, surveys, design outreaching and education materials.


• Monitor organized events and other related projects.


• Conduct community outreach and participate in community informational meetings on asthma and air quality.


• Efficiently performs duties as assigned and works as a team within division and company.


• Participate in developing department goals and objectives.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related computer applications.


• Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work with RIDOH to install air monitoring sensors in indoor and outdoor locations.


• Ability to multitask and be flexible.


• Highly motivated.
