POSITION SUMMARY:


We are currently recruiting a receptionist. The receptionist is responsible for answering phone calls, responding to emails, maintaining a clean and organized reception area, scheduling appointments, ordering office supplies, keeping inventory of stock, and related duties as assigned. This FULL-TIME position starts at $25 per hour and is in Fairfax, VA.

  • ·Greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate person or department.

  • Answering phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate individual.

  • Responding to emails and handling correspondence.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for meetings.

  • Handling administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.

  • Assisting with basic accounting tasks such as invoicing and processing payments.

  • Ordering office supplies and keeping inventory of stock.

  • ·Assisting with event planning and coordination.

  • Providing general support to employees and visitors as needed.

  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems

  • Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as assigned.

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures, to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

  • Efficiently performs duties as assigned and works as a team within division and company.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :
 

Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Previous experience in a business professional environment with a high-volume clientele is a must.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills within the English language.

  • Proven, high quality customer service (internal and external customers).

  • Ability to work collaboratively.

  • Solid ability to analyze situations carefully and adopt appropriate courses of action.

  • Ability to understand and adhere to the duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to effectively communicate to large and small group audiences.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.

  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Access.


 


Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times. 

  • Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
