POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently recruiting a Therapist-Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LMSW) to work with the JAS program in Montgomery County. This full-time position pays $39.00 per hour and is located in Rockville, MD. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as candidate will be traveling in this role.

Candidate must pass Standard, Human Services, and Corrections Background Check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Provides crisis intervention therapy, direct psychotherapy and clinical counseling, comprehensive clinical assessment, mental status and diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning and placement and therapeutic case management services to diverse caseload of clients who have varying presenting problems (e.g., serious mental illness; substance abuse use or relapse; emotional or behavioral crisis including AIDS, cancer or other life threatening conditions; and victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or other crimes).

·Collects data and maintains records documenting and tracking clients' progress; documents clinical assessments, mental status evaluations, and

·Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

-Experience conducting  Biopsychosocial  Assessments, and developing Treatment   Plans.

-Experience using evidence based therapeutic modalities.

-Previous experience working as a Group Facilitator.

-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

· Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LMSW)

Physical Requirements:

·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·       Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times. 

·       Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however                  evening and weekend hours may be required.
