POSITION SUMMARY:


 


We are currently recruiting a Therapy Services Manager. This full-time, position pays $35.00 an hour and is in Rockville, MD.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides in person clinical case management to families who are currently homeless and sheltered in overflow motel prior to Family Shelter referral.

  • Assist the household to obtain permanent housing, employment and access appropriate benefits and resources.

  • Conducts comprehensive assessments to develop an individualized housing plan with each participant detailing the services, resources, and responsibilities needed to locate affordable housing and quickly exit homelessness.

  • Develops and cultivates landlord and property management relationships to identify and secure housing units for families experiencing homelessness.

  • Consults with other professionals in and outside county government to coordinate referrals and linkages to necessary resources and services related to housing stability such as employment services, financial literacy and credit repair programs, childcare, parenting, mental health and / or substance abuse services, and medical services when appropriate.

  • Conducts motel/field visits, monitors household budget, monitors motel room for sanitary and safe conditions, and provides housing advocacy with landlords.

  • Maintains client records in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), County eICM database, and in case record files which documents household housing history, assessed needs and progress towards goal to exit homelessness.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :

Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), County eICM training

  • Three years of experience rendering services to homeless or low-income population.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people.


Education and Experience:


 


·       Must have a Master’s Degree in any Human Services field including Psychology or Social Work from an accredited college or university.


·       If candidate has a Social Work Degree, must be eligible or have Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW)


·       Candidate must have valid driver’s license.


 


Physical Requirements:


 


·       Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours will be required.
