POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting a Trainer and Instructor ll. The Trainer and Instructor ll is responsible for performing instruction design, training implantation, and a strong understanding of public health operations and workforce development. This FULL-TIME position is up to $27.30 per hour and is in Richmond, VA.

Design and Implement Training Programs:
- Develop and deliver training for hospitals, community partners, and public health stakeholders.
- Focus on topics such as sample collection, submission, courier processes, biosafety protocols, and packaging/shipping regulations.
Workforce Development Initiatives:
- Create and implement training programs for staff in areas like SharePoint usage, data management, and process improvements.
- Enhance workforce efficiency through standardization, process improvements, and just-in-time training solutions.
Support Organizational Expansion:
- Address the training needs arising from division growth and evolving public health demands.
Collaborate and Customize Training:
- Partner with stakeholders to identify training needs and customize materials to align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as assigned.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures, to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Efficiently performs duties as assigned and works as a team within division and company.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Design and Implement Training Programs:

- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills within the English language.
- Proven, high quality customer service (internal and external customers).
- Ability to work collaboratively.

- Ability to understand and adhere to the duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to effectively communicate to large and small group audiences.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.
- Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
